Welcome to Our Wedding Planning Blog!

Southern California Wedding Venues | Reception SitesOnly Tips on Wedding Planning and Savings. Period.
Truly I’m not a big fan of blogs. They generally stand for copious amounts of frivolous information posted for endless consumption. You’re never "caught up" on all the posts and you constantly feel "behind", overwhelmed with just too much of everything. But this is not that kind of blog!
We won’t post daily or on any set schedule so that we aren’t “forced” to create content, like every other site. We’ll just post when we have truly helpful information for your wedding planning.
This blog is intended to be a companion to our main site, so to get the most out of this blog, and in our opinion to have the best wedding planning experience, first:
1 – Download our Free Complete Wedding Planner binder and excel workbook.
2 – Browse our recommended Wedding Vendor Directory, printing the vendor listings you’re interested in
3 – Visit this blog periodically just to get some extra Wedding Tips, Tricks and Discounts

Vendor Price FAQ

Q: What do your vendor prices mean?

They will ultimately all say the same thing “It depends. Every wedding is different”. And they’re not lying to you. I’m sure they’ve serviced a wide range of weddings with equally diverse budgets.

LA vendor and directory FAQ

Q: What do you mean by the “top 5″ listings? How do you select them?

    • Provide a variety of vendors while still keeping the overall choice set manageable (max 5 vendors per category)
    • List vendors that were “top” in terms of value.

What does that mean for you? It means that each of our categories lists 5 vendors that have slightly different offerings, while still within the same category and budget. So if you’re looking for a Golf or Country Club venue, and [...]

How To Plan A Wedding: Step 1
Breakdown of typical wedding costs by budget and vendor

average_wedding_budget

So What Does That Mean?
It just means that most brides in Los Angeles will spend about $35,000 on their wedding, when all is said and done.

How Does This Affect You?
For one, it certainly does not mean that you have to spend this amount! It’s just good to keep this number in mind as you start budgeting [...]
